Purpose of Position:
Under the guidance of the Senior Management Team, the consultant will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales plan that aligns with Lodestar Structures’ strategic objectives.

Major Responsibilities
Marketing and Brand Development
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy for Lodestar Structures, driving brand recognition in the building and construction industry; specifically, low and midrise construction.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Ensure consistent branding across all internal and external marketing materials
- Collaborate with management on public relations, including drafting and distributing press releases
- Create a post-press release strategy, including handling inquiries, gathering information, and creating FAQs for the website and staff
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media accounts to expand and enhance our social media presence to reach broader and more diverse audiences
Intellectual Property & Licensing
- Work with Management to protect intellectual property (including licensing) business manufacturing methods
- Interacts with the government bodies (e.g. Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, Export Development Canada, and Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade) to identify and overcome constraints about exporting to the United States and protecting intellectual property
- Market Lodestar Structures to other precaster businesses.
Business Development & Sales
- Build relationships with potential clients and stakeholders to expand Lodestar Structures’ market reach across Ontario and beyond
- Drive new business through research, prospecting, and targeted outreach
- Oversee the setup of a professional sales center, ensuring an exceptional customer experience
- Assist with pricing strategies to maximize sales margins and profitability
- Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers, providing product information, cost estimates, and after-sales support
- Lead buyer meetings to draft agreements of purchase and sale
Website
- Ensure website content, such as photographs, videos, images, written content, are up-to date
- Respond to Anchor’s needs
Sales Strategy & Market Expansion
- Use market research to monitor sales opportunities in key geographical areas across Ontario and the rest of Canada
- Lead pricing strategy adjustments to respond to market conditions and maximize profit
- Manage relationships with key partners in Ontario and explore potential markets for expansion
Experience:
- Five years’ experience in sales management and new product/market development
- Three years’ experience in the field of construction
- Three years’ experience with precast concrete construction products
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
Education:
- Business or civil engineering diploma or degree

Physical Demands:

Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday, minimum of eight hours daily
- Potential Hybrid/Remote opportunity
- Travel to/from the Kingston office is preferred
Salary range: $60,000-$100,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
