We are currently seeking a Rebar Fabricator to join our team and support the fabrication of reinforcement structures essential to our products.

Job Overview

The Rebar Fabricator plays a key role in building reinforcement cages, caissons, and other rebar components used in precast concrete. This is a hands-on, physical position that involves cutting, bending, tying, and bundling rebar, as well as operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, be safety-conscious, and be comfortable working in a team-driven, fast-paced plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate rebar cages and assemblies from blueprints and bar lists
  • Operate shear lines, benders, overhead cranes, and forklifts
  • Cut, bend, tie, bundle, and move rebar components as required
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on tools and equipment
  • Tag and organize materials for production and delivery
  • Load materials to facilitate safe off-loading at job sites
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support team efforts to meet the production schedule
  • Follow safety standards, company procedures, and industry best practices
  • Report incidents, equipment issues, and suggest improvements

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools and equipment
  • Ability to read bar lists, simple plans, and metric measurements
  • Comfortable lifting, bending, and working in physically demanding conditions
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills
  • Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in construction, rebar fabrication, or related mechanical trades is an asset
  • Forklift, crane, or equipment operation experience preferred
  • Prior work in precast or rebar environments considered an asset
