Our reputation is built on quality, innovation, and long-standing industry relationships. We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Coordinator to join our sales department.
Job Overview
The Technical Sales Coordinator plays a key role in scheduling and supporting the daily operations of the Sales Department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a high standard of customer service. This position is responsible for managing the schedules of our sales team, responding to customer emails and telephone inquiries, coordinating, assigning and following up on sales personnel work tasks, department administrative processes and duties, facilitating clear communication between departments and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’S) to the executive team. The ideal candidate has an astute technical aptitude, is outgoing, highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident in identifying and addressing issues when processes deviate from expected standards. The Technical Sales Coordinator must be comfortable taking the initiative, providing guidance when needed, and supporting a professional team in a sales-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Serve as the lead organizer for department work tasks, workloads and sales personnel scheduling
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Schedule and manage sales team day-to-day operations
- Report department and personnel Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to the executive management team
- Assist with marketing needs and sales event functions
- Coordination with internal departments and executive management
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or process gaps within sales documentation or team workflows
- Represent the Sales Department in a professional and customer-focused manner
Sales Operations & Administration
- Monitor incoming emails for sales and tender opportunities; delegate and follow up on task assignments to team members
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and revenue reports for management review
- Maintain organized and current digital files, logs, and customer records
- Monitor and maintain assigned email accounts and ensure timely follow-up on all inquiries
- Track and log department work tasks and all customer requests
- Escalate recurring issues or breakdowns in process, and contribute to process improvements
Marketing & Lead Development
- Collaborate on sales and marketing campaigns, providing support in execution and tracking
- Research and compile prospective client lists for use by the Sales Team
- Monitor and manage ongoing agreements with recurring accounts
- Coordinate logistics for customer events, meetings, and trade show participation
Tendering Support
- Identify potential projects and tender opportunities through online sources
- Request, organize, and manage tender documentation including specifications and drawings
- Create and maintain organized tender files and logs to support accurate and timely submissions
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Confident and assertive in identifying process gaps and contributing to continuous improvement
- High attention to detail; accurate with data entry, document handling, and order processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable to shifting priorities and business needs
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical background in civil engineering, construction, or manufacturing, either through education (e.g. college diploma, certificate) or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong administrative skills, with experience coordinating schedules, managing documents, and supporting cross-functional teams
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role involving technical coordination, sales support, or project administration
- Comfortable working with technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
